CAT Transaction Reporting and CAIS Working Groups

FIF has scheduled two joint calls for the CAT Transaction Reporting and CAIS Working Groups for this week. The first call will be on Tuesday March 31 at 11 am ET and will focus on the SEC’s March 27 approval of the CAT cost reduction rule filing. The second call will be on Thursday April 2 at 11 am ET and will focus on the Reference Database Technical Specifications and related documentation published by FINRA CAT on March 27.

Digital Asset Securities Working Group

The next call for the Digital Asset Securities Working Group will be on Tuesday March 31 at 2 pm ET. Shawn Sloves, CEO of Fundamental Interactions, will present on the Clarity Act and distributed exchanges (DEXs). The Working Group will also discuss the SEC approval of the Nasdaq rule filing relating to tokenized securities and the SEC Interpretive Guidance on the application of the securities laws for crypto assets.

CAT Monthly Update Working Group

The CAT Monthly Update Working Group call for April will be on Thursday April 2 at 2 pm ET. The Working Group will review guidance and updates from the CAT Plan Participants and FINRA CAT during the prior month. The Working Group will also review the current areas of focus for FIF members and the current open issues relating to CAT reporting.

Law Firm Presentation on Reg S-P Amendments

On Wednesday April 8 at 11 am ET, FIF will host a webinar for the Compliance and Surveillance Working Group on the Reg S-P amendments that took effect on December 3, 2025. Thoreau Bartmann and Jessica Cohn of the K&L Gates law firm will be the presenters for the webinar.
