The CAT Monthly Update Working Group call for August will be on Thursday August 7 at 2 pm ET. The Working Group will review guidance and updates from the CAT Plan Participants and FINRA CAT on CAT Transaction Reporting, CAT CAIS and CAT billing during the prior month. The Working Group will also review the current areas of focus for FIF members and the current open issues for CAT Transaction Reporting, CAT CAIS reporting and CAT billing.

The Working Group will review and discuss an FIF presentation on the GENIUS Act, which provides for the registration and regulation of payment stablecoin issuers. FIF has scheduled a joint call for the Rule 605 and Rule 606 Working Groups for Tuesday August 12 at 2 pm ET. The Working Groups will discuss the first draft of an FIF letter requesting an extension of the current implementation date for the Rule 605 amendments.

FIF has scheduled the next call for the CAIS Working Group for Wednesday August 13 at 11 am ET. The Working Group will discuss the first draft of an FIF comment letter to the SEC requesting (i) that the SEC terminate the requirements of the large trader rule relating to unidentified large traders, and (ii) the removal of historical CAIS rejections and Material Inconsistencies relating to data elements that will no longer be reportable to CAIS.
